THE ILLUSTRATOR MARCO VENTURA was born in Milan, Italy in 1963 and comes from an artistic family.
He studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti of Brera in Milan and later at the School of Visual Arts in New York. After completing his training, Ventura returned to Milan, where he spent four years working in packaging design. Since 1988 he has been working as a freelance illustrator for many advertising companies and international publishers and magazines.
He has received several awards, including two silver medals from the American Society of Illustrators, a merit award from the SPD and a silver cone prize from the Italian Art Directors Club. The British Royal Mail in 2007 printed more then 200 million Christmas stamps he has illustrated. Ventura lives in Milan, Italy with his wife Laura (also an illustrator) and their three children.
